Another blade forged from a file. Turned curly maple handle, a pewter bolster, and steel plate at the back. Maple is finished with nitric acid and linseed oil. Overall length is just under 9", with a 4 3/4" blade. Vegetable tanned cow hide sheath in the works.
I modified this knife slightly. I arched the bottom rear part of blade: to make more comfortable with thumb holding blade edge up. I also rounded out groves and bands on the turned handle to add depth and improve overall appearance.
