More knives
This folder is 3 3/4" closed, 6 1/2" open. The blade(stamped with makers mark CM) was forged from an old file. The handle is steel with brass in the center. The spring has some file work done to the visible surface to dress up the overall appearance. All parts are fastened together with 1/16" steel pins. It has a good spring action.
The belt knife was forged from an allen head wrench. I've found these make great blades. They hold an edge and sharpen easily. The bolster and "rear cap" are integral: forged from the same piece as the blade. The handle is whitetail antler held in with 4 steel pins. There are two tiny pewter bands at each end of the antler. Overall measurement: 9 1/2", blade: 4 1/8" cutting edge. CM stamped in "antiqued" blade. Vegetable tanned sheath sewn with linen thread, dyed brown. Steel band and old silver fork secured to sheath with steel pins.
Both Knives are currently for sale on the Contemporary Longrifle Association site. Folder is $200 and the fixed blade is $180
