Double set triggers

I decided to make my own double lever double set triggers for a Early Virginia Flintlock I'm working on. The triggers will be reshaped slightly and all parts polished on the inside before being installed. Overall the job was easier than I thought it would be...considering the only power tool I used was a drill.

Early Georgian Pistol

This is the first pistol I have built. It is a 62 caliber smoothbore with a reshaped left handed large Siler flintlock. The lock choice for a lefty was very limited. This lock is some what large for a pistol but works with the large barrel. I made the butt cap, trigger, and side plate with belt hook. The Polish falcon is pewter. All that's left is test firing and some burnishing. Hope you like it LT.

French Folder

This folder is 3 7/8" closed and 7" open. The blade is forged from an old file as is the spring. The bolsters are steel, and the slabs are caribou antler.

Southern Mountain Rifle

I just completed this custom built Southern Mountain rifle. It has a 42" Rice Southern Classic 45 caliber barrel, and a Davis Late Ketland flintlock. All parts are hand made except the lock, barrel, screws, and touch hole liner. There is an 1/8" castoff and a 13 3/8 length of pull. The chevron muzzle cap is pewter. All that remains is to sight it in. Just in time for deer season. John, hope you like it as much as I do

Southern rifle

Southern rifle with curly ash, Rice southern classic 40" 45 caliber A weight barrel, and a Chambers Late Ketland flintlock. No buttplate: Bone at top of butt and steel at the toe. Davis double set triggers are modified. Stock was formed from a board, and barrel was inlet by hand.  Sights, ramrod pipes, barrel lugs, toe plate, also hand made. Trigger guard is a cast one I modified. Pretty wood but a pain to work with!
