Small belt axe

The blade is forged from a file. The edge has a dovetailed bit welded in. I did this because the cutting edge was cracking while forging. The head is 4 5/8" long with a 2" cutting edge. The 14 3/4" handle is hickory.

2 new knives

The larger of the two has a whitetail leg bone handle, the smaller is caribou antler. Both blades where forged from old files. Both have a razor edge.

I was reminded to wear safety glasses when pouring pewter. As I poured pewter into the leg bone I had an air pocket burst and shoot pewter into my eyes. It went everywhere. I got lucky...other than a bit of a burning sensation all is well.

Early English Pistol

Just finished this one up. It is a 50 caliber smoothbore. The barrel is an 8" stepped round from Muzzleloader Builder's Supply. The lock is a small Queen Anne from Jim Chambers. The butt cap, side plate, and belt hook are self built. The stock wood is curly maple.
