This turned horn container is 2 1/8" at the base and is 3 5/8" high to the top of the lid. The lid and base are curly maple. I was planning to do some scrimshaw but thought the horn had enough character to it.
This 40 caliber loading block was made from a left over piece of curly maple stock wood. The sun inlay is caribou antler and its rays are silver wire inlay. The lanyard is leather with a waxed linen thread wrap near the block.
