Keating Station Prize Rifle
This Early Virginia style rifle was built as a prize gun for a private shoot. This stock was shaped from a board of fairly plain maple. The 40 caliber Rice barrel had already been inletted to the board and ramrod hole drilled. Other than that the shaping was left to me. The lock is a large Siler and I was supplied with the trigger guard and buttplate. Everything else I built from scratch. This was my latest and most involved gun build. I was happy with the results and I think Harold (the winner) was also.
